Trip Itinerary:
Date: Spring School Break
Day 1: FLIGHT TO POLAND
We begin our unforgettable journey in the evening, departing from O’Hare Airport to Warsaw. Let’s bid farewell to Chicago and prepare for an adventure-filled visit to Poland.
Day 2: WARSAW
We start our trip by exploring Warsaw. We will visit the Royal Castle to learn about its history, followed by a walk along the Royal Route, stopping at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Presidential Palace. After lunch, we’ll head to Łazienki Park, finishing the day with a visit to the Copernicus Science Center. Overnight in Warsaw.
Day 3: POZNAŃ
In the morning, we’ll head to Poznań, where we’ll participate in St. Martin’s Croissant baking workshops at the Croissant Museum. After the workshop, there will be time for a stroll through the Old Town. Overnight in Poznań.
Day 4: POZNAŃ AND GNIEZNO
We’ll start the day by visiting the Citadel and the Parish Church in Poznań. Then, we’ll explore the Gniezno Cathedral, a site significant to Poland’s early history. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Biskupin. Overnight in Biskupin.
Day 5: BISKUPIN AND GDAŃSK
In the morning, we’ll take part in weaving workshops at the Biskupin Museum, learning about ancient crafting techniques. After lunch, we’ll travel to Gdańsk, where we’ll admire the city’s panorama from the Ferris wheel in the evening. Overnight in Gdańsk.
Day 6: TRICITY
We’ll start the day with a walk along Long Market in Gdańsk, visiting the Neptune Fountain and the iconic “Gdańsk” sign. Then we’ll head to Sopot to explore the pier and Monciak Street. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Gdynia, taking a cable car up Kamienna Góra for a breathtaking view of the Tricity. Overnight in Gdańsk.
Day 7: MALBORK AND TORUŃ
We’ll visit the Teutonic Castle in Malbork, one of Europe’s largest medieval castles. Then, we’ll travel to Toruń for a gingerbread baking demonstration at the Gingerbread Museum. The day will end with a stroll through the Old Town. Overnight in Toruń.
Day 8: RETURN
After breakfast, we’ll head back home, filled with memories and impressions from our extraordinary journey through northern Poland.
